The Saint Benedict Abbey of Achel, also known as the Achelse Kluis, is a Cistercian abbey located partly on Belgian territory,in the municipality of Hamont-Achel,and partly on Dutch territory, in Valkenswaard. While the brewery and the abbey itself are not open to visitors, a cozy inn offers a view of the brewing kettles. On the spacious terrace, you can enjoy drinks, pastries, and light meals.
